Indonesian artifacts are to be found in almost every corner of the globe. The production of Furniture & Handicrafts is supported by highly skilled crafts people and is blessed with an abundance of raw materials. However, some manufacturers do not meet the standards required to insure the exporting of reliable quality products. Even with the best suppliers the quality can vary from order to order. It is vital in our view that all orders are thoroughly quality controlled by an independent party before final shipping. At Graven Image we work very closely with suppliers to ensure that only merchantable standards of quality are applied. Our aim is to meet the delivery deadlines. Products that do not meet our quality control standards are promptly returned to the suppliers for re servicing or rejected outright!
We currently deal with over 500 suppliers and are familiar with all aspects of local manufacturing, including raw materials, competitive pricing and production time frames.. Our introduction service enables you to easily source and develop new products within a matter of days
Most products, materials depending , can take anything from one to six weeks to complete. Select the products you require and leave us to do the rest. You are then free to return to your base to deal with the running of your business

We are therefore able to assist buyers in either developing new products from scratch or modifying existing products. We pay special attention to Buyers individual requirements. During the Quality control process we do everything to ensure that the product matches the order. We check for correct specification, price and final finishing. 3. Our Agent fee & shipping quotations will tell  the complete story with no hidden costs . Agencies often don’t give the true cost picture?i.e There could be  $70-$100 a day surcharge for transportation added to the fee.The shipping quote may not match the actual.

We at Graven Image can “ fast track” you to new products quickly. New buyers are often over whelmed by the sheer amount of product available. A new product range could normally take a new buyer several weeks to locate, our service can provide in a matter of days. We can offer valuable assistance and advice at every stage of the buying process.

4. Our attention to detail and standard of Quality control are  exemplary. The  Buying  Agent is offering  their time.. Therefore there  will be a time / cost limitation involved . In our view, offering a fee below a certain bar  could mean  that  corners are cut,  insufficient  time and low staff resources  could mean  that  important tasks are not properly executed.

We periodically follow up the progress of the order with the suppliers. The quality controlling will be processed once your order has been completed. This is one of the most important functions we perform. We apply the same standards of quality control to all products.

There are a some local Agents who can service your requirements with distinction. However, recently there have been numerous new local operators setting up as Buying Agents and offering considerably lower fees. Many of them have no experience or idea about supplying to the different marketing and selling environments. Almost all have only local reference with regards to global interior designing and no knowledge of  merchandising and professional retailing  practices. We can testify to this development as  several buyers  have migrated to our services directly due to  problems in this regard,  therefore  we must offer buyers caution.

Graven Image’s responsibility  is to insure that  orders are  completed on  time and that the each product is counted , documented and then carefully packed . Great efforts  are made  into  insuring the most efficient maximum  space is utilized. Our  shipping logistic begins even before  the order has been placed.  Once we have received your  initial order, our shipping department will need to calculate a volume assessment in order to  to determine how much space will be required to ship your order.  The assessment further  enables  the  buyer to finalise their order according to their budgets and to insure  the order will  fit precisely to a container size.. During the packing preparation careful consideration needs to go into  mixing the larger bulky items with the smaller  handicraft items. For example, where possible products are packed inside other products Finally, within  a matter of weeks after your shipment has  departed we  will send to you by courier all  the relevant shipping documentation required for clearing with customs and excise.

We keep a photographic record of all your previous purchases. All your transactions are stored on our network computer hard drives.
